As if in a dream, I wander through the trees. Vertical Rise photographed in Colorado. I have studied trees with my eyes, but before you I put a representation of my studies through the lens. “Standing Still, the Life of Trees,” documents the character, body and sensitivity of the tree, from the largest living organism, the Aspen, to the gracious Maple.

As I meandered through a jungle of life, I felt as if “In a Dream”. Photographed in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia.

I was struck by the relationship of the sculpted, aged tree to that of the mountains. “Reach” photographed in the heart of Patagonia, Chile.

Using a sensitive and surreal film, I photographed “Sole” as if the landscape was glowing and the lone tree, projecting hope.

“Aspens” is one of my earliest favorite photographs. Photographed with a sensitive film, more granular and surreal by nature.

I had always admired the relationship of the distant mountains, to the sloped barn, to the birthing birch tree. After a blizzard of snow set into this Dorset Vermont Hollow, I knew by natures perfection, that the moment had come.

As if swimming through a sea of fog, I came upon the most anchored tree, it’s roots deep beneath the ground. “Found”, photographed in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia.

“Days Remembered” inspires memories of my youth, exploring open fields with soaring hawks and the landing tree. Photographed using a surreal, granular sensitive film.

In the heart of “Winter” in the mountains of Pomfret, Vermont, snow veiled the land.

“Perception”, the process in which we determine what we see. Thick with mystical tree’s in the mountains of Colorado.

I photographed “Potato Fields” after a fresh blanket of snow laid upon the central Vermont Hill Farm.

“Sunshine”, using one of my favorite photographic films, Kodak HIE, I set out to embrace the surreal mountain light. Photographed in the Green Mountains of Vermont.

The grafted pattern and form of the “Ancient Walnut Grove” attracted me. Photographed in California using Ilford black and white film.

The land is referred to as the land of fire. The photograph struck me in its means of endurance, through “Tolerance” came beauty. Photographed in Patagonia.

As the fog rose the morning sea, the tree endured the countless beat. “Monhegan” photographed on Monhegan Island Maine.
