Over the past 10 years, I’ve pursued a concept of work exploring depth, focus and interpretation, by way of a “path”. “A Path to Somewhere” is a body of traditionally photographed images from all over the world.
Road Home
“Road Home”, the sand two track leadeth the way to the peace and solace of the sea. Photographed in Truro, Cape Cod.
Long Road Home

Path to Truro
For each, the path is unique. I could walk forever amongst you. “Path to Truro” photographed in the dunes, Truro, Cape Cod.
Power of the Sea
The insurgence, the power upon the sea, at first glimpse. “Power of the Sea” photographed on the northern California coast.
The Beginning
“The Beginning”, photographed in the Sierra Nevada De Santa Marta, Colombia in magic light. I am attracted to paths, from where they come and where they go.
Beyond
“Beyond”, the path to forever, the path to the sky. Photographed using a sensitive, granular film, appreciated for the essence portrayed.
Discover
Photographed in Central Vermont, “Discover” embodies the unknown, the distant past or the adventured present. Part of a greater body of work, “Paths to Somewhere”
To the Sky
When I turned and saw the path leading to the deep sky, I wanted to follow it. Photographed in the Great Sand Dunes of Colorado. Part of a greater body of work, “Paths to Somewhere”
Tomorrow
The approach to the sea is not to be forgotten; the sand dunes, blowing grasses and the crashing sound of the waves. “Tomorrow” was photographed on the Cape Cod National Seashore.
Enchanted Passage
Photographed on Cumberland Island, “Enchanted Passage” meanders the spirit of both desolation and strength. Part of a greater body of work, “Paths to Somewhere”

100 Miles

By Contrast

Around the Bend
Slowly descending the hollow in Bucks County, it was like going back in time. Do gnomes live here? “Around the Bend” photographed in Bucks County, PA using Ilford Film.

Cross Roads
I photographed “Cross Roads” using one of my favorite films, Kodak HIE to better establish the mood in the landscape, and the relationship of the path, barn and dream like surroundings.
Ancient Walnut Grove
The grafted pattern and form of the “Ancient Walnut Grove” attracted me. Photographed in California using Ilford black and white film.
